In 1976 I befriended an Artist/Sculptor named Pete Helzer who's work I found amazing.
I left for the military and visited Pete through the years.
Every time I went home on vacation I would assist him in his Bronze Foundry. Many years passed and I found that my passion to work in his Foundry never diminished.
Pete always told me I had the talent and should
build my own Foundry.

In 1991 my wife and I bought our first dog.
A Golden Retriever aptly named "Goldie".
We joined the local AKC Kennel Club, took
obedience classes and soon found ourselves competing at dog shows all over our Region.
One thing led to another and our Passion for Golden Retrievers led us into the world of showing them in Conformation, Obedience, and Agility.

In 2008 I decided to combine my two passions and built
"Back Yard Bronze".
A small foundry located where else, but in our back yard.
I create small bronze pieces the old fashion way, using the Lost Wax Method.
